Max Vincenzi

Max’s story traces back to the picturesque city of Genoa, Italy, his birthplace, where his love for cars ignited after his father took him to his first hill climb race when he was just 8 years old. It was the allure of 80’s European classics, particularly air-cooled Porsches and most wedge-shaped Italian cars that had Max captivated. Max attributes all that he is, knows, and loves to the teachings of his father, often joking that his love of cars and the money spent on them is all his dad’s fault.

“My dad is my hero. I would not be the man I am without him.”

With no formal training, and an unwavering drive, Max transformed his vision of owning a car restoration shop into reality, pioneering a venture from the ground up, propelled by a relentless pursuit of excellence and attention to detail. He is the owner, president, and CEO of Retrowerks Garage. He is a self-taught creative designer, mechanic, welder, fabricator, electrician, and businessperson who believes that dreams do come true with a lot of hard work, and the ability to accept failure as growth. Max enjoys red wine, attending car events, and heart pounding drives on Southern California canyon roads… and not in that order!

Taylor Pinnell

Taylor was born in London, Canada, but that wasn’t her fault, and we don’t judge. She is of Irish and Canadian Indigenous descent and is a mom to a beautiful girl named Ainsley. She developed a liking for cars in her teen years after attending automotive swap meets with friends before she was even old enough to drive. Taylor possesses amazing organizational skills and the ability to memorize part numbers and their functions. For this reason, she self-promoted to Parts Manager along with also being the company’s social media Director. Yes, she designed and manages this website. She is the real deal car girl, who’s often mistaken as a man by people online, gifted with the ability to never back down from a challenge. Her hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication to the company inspires us all. It’s safe to assume that Retrowerks Garage wouldn’t be where it is today without Taylor, but we don’t tell her that in fear that it might inflate her ego. She also wrote this bio.
When she’s not at work, Taylor enjoys cooking, photography, and working some more.
